Looking for family connections
I am Phillip C. Strahin, and I currently live in Richmond, Tx. My connection to the Bowers family is through my mother, Uda Bowers, born Apr 27, 1912. My grandfather was George Cyrus Bowers and grandmother was Josephine E Chisholm Bowers. Other children of grandfather and grandmother were George Tyler Bowers, Meshach "Buck" Hoy Bowers, and Joseph Ronald Bowers. All were born between 1911 and 1922. The next generation of Bowers children included Roy George, Ronald Elwood, Dorothy, Deanna kay, Janis Ruth, Peggy Lou, Danny Ray, Dale Keith, Robert Ronald, Billy James, Roger Lee, Mesach Jr, David Dwain, and Joseph Ronald. There was also a Thelma Bowers, although I do not know her exact relationship. When my father, Phillip Ray Strahin, married mother this branch of the Bowers family was in the vicinity of Vindex and Kitzmiller, Md. in the 1930's time period. I never knew either my mother or any of the Bowers family as she died of childbirth complications when I was about 2 years old. These were the wartime years and travel was restricted or difficult.
