Hi I am Pierre Le Bas born and lived in NZ till two years ago. I am now living on a Narrowboat in the UK. In the last ten years I have traced back my "Le Bas" family to 1400 from France through Jersey to NZ. Now I am trying to branch out to my Father's female side and my mothers both sides. One of my mothers side goes back to my Great Great Grandmother Selby Bowers born in Hale Surrey in 1857. Her Parents were Walker Bowers born Haslemere Surrey and Maria born Chiddingford Surrey. I was born at Hannemann University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1964, and was placed in foster care, along with 2 aunts and an uncle. We were separated; I was placed in a foster home in Collegeville, my aunts were placed in the Philadelphia area, and my uncle was adopted out and moved to Florida. My mother's name is Ruth Ann Bowers; I have no idea who my father is. I have been actively looking for family for quite some time with no success, so now I am posting this in hopes that someone will step up and lead me in the right direction to finding my family.

I am trying to find out any information about Elizabeth Bowers who was born in Missouri in 1889. Her parents were David S. Bowers also born in Missouri and Mary Ann Odineal Bowers born in Virginia. The Bowers moved to Texas in the late 1890's. Elizabeth married Ance Jone around 1904, moved to Oklahoma and had two children, Olive and Paul. Elizabeth apparently died before 1910. I can find no records of her marriage or her death. This may be due to her living in Oklahoma before statehood.

They lived in Phila, PA..until the 1930s census..was the lastest I could track. They had a son, my dad~ William K. Morgan in 7/1923 ( their only child). The 33rd ward in phila, pa was their last known addy from the 1930 census. William SR. died in Phila, PA (Not sure of the date) but dont know where hes buried.., and I can not find any information relating to Wilhelmina ( MINNIE).

My name is Neal Bowers. I am from Thurmont,Md. My fathers name was Rodney Bowers, he was the son of Melvin and Helen Bowers and had 2 brothers, their names were Richard and Elwood. My father Rodney, had 2 other sons from an earlier marriage that I have never met. Their names are Larry and Michael. I do know that Michael was in the Rosewood Hospital from a very early age. I am looking for any info about the ancestors of Timothy Bowers of County Down, Ireland, who immigrated to the US in 1790 and settled by 1795 in Tyrone Township,Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Timothy was a weaver and married to Margaret ?? and had a least two sons, William and Robert. William, my ancestor, moved to Brown County, Ohio, in 1815 upon the death of Timothy. William named his children John, Martha, Mary, Timothy, Jane, William W., James Harvey, George Wallace, Elizabeth and James Calvin. In Griffiths Valuation of Ireland there were Bowers in Annahilt.

Greetings. Like so many others posting to this forum I'm searching for information about the Bowers family. The research I've conducted to date confirms that my earliest American ancestors entered the country through Jamestown/James City, Virginia in the mid 1600's. Many settled in present day Caroline County/Greater Richmond, Virginia.
