Soon after I set up Bowers.com, I started to get e-mails from people just to say "Hi, I am a Bowers too!". Then over time, as the internet really started to help people network and research their family tree, I started to get e-mails asking, "Are we related" or "I lost track of ____, do you have any information on him/her?"
I eventually set up a Guest Book so people could post their enquiries and let other people read through them. However, the guest book got to be quite bit after a while and information was buried in there with no chance of anyone finding what they were looking for.
Im Chris Bowers 25 living in Manchester (England) I'm looking to find any Bowers that attended a family reunion in 2000 at the G.H Carnall Leisure Center. Im in the process of tracing my family back and at the moment have little information. I think my Grandad Stanley Bowers originally came from Matlock in Derbyshire if that helps.

We have been stuck for years trying to find the right Jacob Bowers (1825-1891) and his parents. Jacob was married to Susanna(h) Manton and they had 4 children: Cyrus M Bowers (1871-1954), James Thomas Bowers(1874-1946), Frances May Bowers(1879-1965) and a Stillborn. All were born in Summit,Ohio.
According to the 1880 Cenus Jacob's Dad is from Ohio and his parents are from PA. We Know that Susanna is from England as well as her parents. We have not found out his parents name or where he was born. Any help with this bump in the road will be a big help.

William J. Bowers was married to Julia. They had a son (more?) named William Dover Dwight (1858) who married Nettie Patch (1861). They had 1) UNKOWN, 2) Charles Cleveland***(1885), 3) Bert Otis (1890), 4) Ray (1893), 5) Edith (1897), and 6) Mabel (1900)

Hi I am Pierre Le Bas born and lived in NZ till two years ago. I am now living on a Narrowboat in the UK. In the last ten years I have traced back my "Le Bas" family to 1400 from France through Jersey to NZ. Now I am trying to branch out to my Father's female side and my mothers both sides. One of my mothers side goes back to my Great Great Grandmother Selby Bowers born in Hale Surrey in 1857. Her Parents were Walker Bowers born Haslemere Surrey and Maria born Chiddingford Surrey. I have the 1871 cencus that tells me of all the family living in Walkers household on that day.
I was born at Hannemann University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1964, and was placed in foster care, along with 2 aunts and an uncle. We were separated; I was placed in a foster home in Collegeville, my aunts were placed in the Philadelphia area, and my uncle was adopted out and moved to Florida. My mother's name is Ruth Ann Bowers; I have no idea who my father is. I have been actively looking for family for quite some time with no success, so now I am posting this in hopes that someone will step up and lead me in the right direction to finding my family.

I am trying to find out any information about Elizabeth Bowers who was born in Missouri in 1889. Her parents were David S. Bowers also born in Missouri and Mary Ann Odineal Bowers born in Virginia. The Bowers moved to Texas in the late 1890's. Elizabeth married Ance Jone around 1904, moved to Oklahoma and had two children, Olive and Paul. Elizabeth apparently died before 1910. I can find no records of her marriage or her death. This may be due to her living in Oklahoma before statehood.
